TEHRAN Chairman of National Expediency Council Hojjatoleslam Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said here Thursday that the Tuesday bomb blast at the Islamic Revolution Court in Tehran is a clear evidence of the frustration of the terrorist Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO). Hojjatoleslam Rafsanjani, who was addressing a large audience at Imam Khomeini's holy shrine, said the Americans had condemned the terrorist bombing of the MKO, but, he observed, if the Americans honestly discountenance terrorism they should curb the activities of the MKO emigrants in the United States. He said the Iranians can manage to avert terrorism in Iran, but that the Americans and certain European countries that support terrorist groups would do better to think about their own countries and about their anti-terrorism pretensions.

Hojjatoleslam Rafsanjani said that Iran, as a free, prosperous, united and model Islamic country, is steadfast in its struggle against oppression and unjust acts, reiterating that Islamic Iran is proceeding along this direction and firmly preserves the spirit of the Islamic Revolution. Speaking at the same ceremony was the superintendent of Imam Khomeini's holy shrine Haj Seyed Hassan Khomeini who delivering a speech said that the principle element of Imam Khomeini's thoughts is the Velayat-e Faqih. The grandson of Imam Khomeini added that the United States is a symbol of arrogant relations and everywhere it has entered it has introduced imperialism.

He added that exploitative relations to the sole benefit of the United States was condemned by Imam Khomeini. He said the duty of every person in the present day is to keep national unity and bring the hearts of the people closer together . He added that fanning the fire of dissent is condemnable irrespective of who is doing it. He also stressed that the enemies of the Islamic Revolution must remember that as long as Imam Khomeini's generation continues to live and as long as there are soldiers fighting for Imam's ideology, their wishful hopes will never come true.
